The Fall: Part 4 1995 - 2000

Tony Blair, Elton John, and Mark E Smith as a pre cog?

And we are back with the late 90s. As Cool Britannia reigned and Brit Pop peaked and died how did this impact one of music's great acts?

The line up remains the same as last time with TempFan stalwart Zoë Von Hess and newbie Joe Mitchell. Both long-time Fall fans, they both bring their unique perspectives to fandoms, toxic bandmates, pre cogs, 90's guitars and more.

In this episode we work our way through

Cerebral Caustic (1995)

The Light User Syndrome (1996)

Levitate (1997)

The Marshall Suite (1999)

The Unutterable (2000)

As usual, take your time. Pause the pod, go and find the music on Spotify, Deezer, tidal, YouTube, apple music or wherever. You have plenty of time. Or just dust off your own Fall albums and listen again.

Or listen to a selection on our combined podcast playlist

If you fancy supporting the show, either leave us a review somewhere (Apple Podcasts would be awesome) or donate a few euros, dollars, pounds . We currently have small costs every month and it would be great to lower our outgoings.

Regardless or whether you can chip in, a 5 star review (if you feel like it) on Apple would help enormously.

Jonathan is the genius behind our theme music and you can hear more of his stuff on his Bandcamp

Temporary Fandoms
Temporary Fandoms: The Music Discography Podcast
Temporary Fandoms is a place where we invite you to become a Temporary Fan of an artist, and hopefully some of you will find artists or bands you become long-term fans of. We are music fans, not gatekeepers, and all are welcome to become temporary fans.

Join us as we dive through the good, the bad and the what? Take your time and listen along. Feel free to pause us and go listen on Spotify or wherever to the albums. Or go to our Spotify playlist and listen to it that way.
